So you have heard about this 'making money on internet' trend that is taking the world by storm, and I guess you are wondering if it is worth giving it a try, right? Well let me give you a quick overview of 'what is really involved in making money on the internet'. Then if after reading this article you decide 'I like the sound of this' or start thinking ' I think I could give this a try' then I highly recommend it because as far as I am concerned it has been the best lifestyle choice I ever made.
10 Truths About What It Is Really Like Making Money On The Internet If you have been told that 'if you build a website you will make thousands of dollars instantly' then I am sorry to burst your bubble. Unfortunately that is not true. (Perhaps 10 years ago that may have been the case, but not these days). Is it possible to really make money on the internet you may ask? Without a doubt, as long as you know what you are doing! But, make sure you have a clear idea of what's required before you take a flying leap into this industry, as internet marketing is not for everyone. Below is a list of my thoughts on what owning an online business is really like: 1. It takes a lot of homework in the beginning to learn how to build your business the right way ( well worth doing as it will save you time and money down the track). People who do not take the time to find an unsaturated market through market research, find out who their customer is, what they like, what their immediate problems are, will probably end up wasting a lot of money. This part of internet marketing cannot be missed ( trust me I found out the hard way). 2. It takes a while to start making money ( depends on whether you want to market your business for free, use paid traffic options like Google Adwords, offline paid marketing strategies or sell someone else's products for a commission - affiliate marketing). 3. Success depends strongly on the type of person you are and how quickly you take what you learn and put it into action. Those who take action quickly can be making money a lot sooner. Those who think 'build it and they will come' would be better off keeping their day jobs. 4. It requires ongoing upkeep. This is not hard but something that must be done. You can do it yourself or if you have some spare cash you can pay someone else to do it, but you must keep your finger on the pulse at all times to stay ahead of your competitors, build long term relationships with your customers and continue to learn. 5. It requires patience, perseverance and dedication. It took me a while to get these traits down pat. Not being a very patient person I wanted it all to happen overnight Once the reality set in as to what was actually involved in maintaining an online business and understood that there is actually a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes of a profitable online business, I settled down and got stuck into getting things done. 6. It is usually an autonomous role unless you work with a team of people (but you meet so many people around the world online which is why I love it). Some people start from scratch doing a joint venture with someone else they know who is interested in starting an online business. This is a great idea because it is always great to have someone to keep you motivated, bounce ideas off and use each others skill sets within your business. 7. Very rewarding (best lifestyle choice I ever made). Although the going can get tough and not every day is a winning day, the rewards of creating your own products, building your own business, living your own lifestyle choices and being your own boss far out ways any full time job I have ever had. 8. It can be lots of fun once you get the hang of it. At first it can seem quite daunting if you try and learn it all at once. But if you start learning in bite size chunks it really is lots of fun. Creating an online business involves so many facets that one job just cannot give you. From researching ideas, creating a brand, selling other people's products, joint ventures, writing your own book, articles, media. It really is a very exciting industry to learn. 9. It is not dissimilar to a 'real job' except you're the boss and you get to keep all the money (most people like this part the best, I know I do). Yes there is a lot of work at the beginning. And yes you will put in some long hours to get your business off the ground if you are serious about building a successful, long term business, but once the hard work is done most online businesses can be automated or outsourced to a stage where you work 'on your business' not 'in your business' which is the lifestyle choice most entrepreneurs aspire to achieve. 10. Entails keeping abreast of the current trends, technology and marketing strategies as the internet changes and moves rapidly. Once you have put the foundations of your business in place most of the hard work is done. But it always pays to keep abreast of new technology, what the search engines are doing and also what the top internet marketers are doing. They will let you know what needs to be done in your business to remain successful. It is all about keeping your ear to the ground and your finger on the pulse at all times. There is never a dull moment in this business which is why it is so exciting to be a part of. It is not for everybody, but if you want a change in lifestyle I highly recommend it. I mean who'd have thought three years ago I would be • building my own websites • creating my own ebooks • videoing and editing my own products or • coaching other women how to create their own online business It really has been the most exciting and inspirational part of my working career and if you are the sort of person who • loves a challenge • is willing to learn something new • is an action taker • can think outside the square • or who is willing to get outside their comfort zone and have a go Then I highly recommend learning about making money on the internet. Because once you become an entrepreneur their is no going back, it really is the most addictive and exciting career anyone can ever have. Remember, lifestyle is a choice, what do you choose? To Your Success.
